About Choice Theory

What is Choice Theory?
Choice Theory is a new psychology proposed by Dr. William Glasser. Choice Theory advances the notion that all behavior is based upon our choices and that the choices we make are based upon our needs and our ideals (which is stated "quality world" by Dr. William Glasser).
According to Choice theory:
  • - all we do is behave,
  • - almost all behavior is chosen,
  • - we are driven by our genes to satisfy five basic needs: survival, love and belonging, power, freedom and fun.
After 40years had past after Dr. William Glasser had announced the theory,it had been used widely through the globe as an effective method that builds better relationships.

Basic Needs

Creating an environment where people become self-motivated learners

All education and training provided by Achievement is based on the world renown psychology of Choice Theory.

Choice Theory is a psychological theory proposed by Dr. William Glasser, an American psychiatrist, which elucidated the mechanism of human behavior. Over the past 50 years, this method has been widely used in the United States, Canada and other countries. It has been recognized as a method of building good relationships in schools, local governments, organizations and the home environment.

One of the main ideas is as follows
* No one can directly change another person’s thinking
* The only person who can change the individual is "the person himself".
Thus, changes occur as a result of his own choices.

It may seem strange that a human resource development company which promotes change in people is based on a theory that people cannot be driven to change.

However, people learn not because they are told to "learn" by others, but because they want to learn by themselves, and then they start to achieve their goals on their own initiative.

Create an environment where you want to grow and learn, rather than forcing learning and growth.

That is why Achievement's education and training leads to success.
